A storm system currently moving onshore on the west coast will interact with a cooler air mass over the region to produce rain changing to snow late in the afternoon on Friday and especially during the overnight continuing into Saturday morning.
At this time it is too early to put out snowfall estimates, but the possibility does exist that there could be accumulation in or around the area. This storm will be better sampled by the computer models over the next 24 hours which will in turn provide a better picture in terms of forecast snow amounts by Thursday afternoon and evening. Stay tuned!
