A weak stalled out frontal boundary will continue to be the focus of our small rain chance today and also into the 4th of July holiday as well. Forcing remains weak however enough instability will build in the afternoon that will allow the formation of a few widely scattered storms. I’m expecting less than 20-30 percent coverage for the storms this afternoon and the timing would be after 2pm until around 8pm. The high resolution rapid refresh model shows the general idea of developing a few isolated storms across the region. No severe weather is expected.
Highs today will be back into the 80s with a little less in the way of humidity as the front continues to sink to the south.
