After some rough weather last evening we’re looking at much quieter skies across the Sauk Valley for today and even parts of the upcoming weekend too. You’ll notice much less in the way of humidity today as well with comfortable conditions expected. Here’s your latest forecast. Make it a great Friday!
Showers and thunderstorms are quickly coming to an end across the area early this morning as a slow moving cold front pushes through. This will temporarily end the heat and humidity that plagued us again these last few days as that will all be pushed to the south of the area. Today will feature mostly sunny skies and a refreshing northwest breeze with highs in the lower 80s.
The comfortable conditions will hang around for the beginning of the upcoming weekend with on and off sunshine expected and highs continuing in the lower 80s.
The front may be close enough to our area to set off a couple widely scattered showers and storms by Sunday and Monday but there will be several dry hours each day. Highs will slowly rise back into the middle 80s.
More hot and humid weather arrives after the middle of the week with daily chances for showers and storms starting Wednesday and highs back in the 90s.
