60s Remain with On/Off Rain Chances

We've flipped the switch to Spring it seems as the warmth will continue to vacation here regionally with no signs of it leaving anytime in the near future. No complaints about that here! Yesterday we made it into the lower 60s for highs with 70 degrees observed just to the west of the QC metro area.

We've come a long way from our snowfall event last week to now some 23 degrees above average in terms of our temperature. Looking back at the temperature trends starting from late last month you can see this isn't our first rodeo with 60 degree temperatures. The difference this time is the warmth sticks around for a good week or so. *Average high temperature is denoted by solid green line.

Today will still have some clouds around with on/off showers and perhaps a thunderstorm, but the day will not be a complete washout. If we can manage to get in a good deal of sunshine we can tack on a few extra degrees to our highs forecast for this afternoon which are in the middle 60s. Winds will be cranking up again gusting to near 25 mph by this afternoon but the warmer/more humid air will keep the chill effect at bay.

Showers will remain with us through the overnight hours tonight but mild temperatures continue with lows in the middle 50s expected.

Wednesday and especially Wednesday night bring out best chances for steadier precipitation as a disturbance moves towards the area. This will keep high temperatures down a bit but still on the mild side around 60 degrees.

Scattered rain continues Thursday into the upcoming weekend with temperatures hovering between 55-60. By the time Saturday comes to a close some spots could see up to an inch of rain which will really get things greening up quickly!

Have a great Tuesday!
